BONES

I wrote this about a year ago, seemed like a good night to finally post it...
what with the full moon and all... sortof about me (accident prone wreck);
but dedicated to all dirt bike riders.
                                                      Ghostrider

                         Bones

Someday - When the Aliens - Find my bones
E.T. will be calling - Long distance home

It's just a small blue planet - Strange petrified tracks
A lot of bones on it - Some splintered and cracked

I think we found -  Another lost warrior race
This skull has a notch - On the brow of its face

Clavicles been smashed - then re-grown all wrong
And the joints all look worn - Like the cartilage was gone

And the leg-bones are bowed - Even though looking sturdy
Lets' bag up these bones - For further study

So back they go - home to planet X
But they'll never know - This accident prone wreck

They can't fathom fun - On a small square planet
Playing in the sun - E.T. just don't understand it

Two wheeled machines - Their all rusted away
But my gnarly old bones - Will be here to stay

That is really the truth. Fits a lot of us. At 52 and back on crutches again. I am still lovin it. I can't wait to get healed up so I can race again.
