Tim - glad to hear you're doing alright. Both you and Loren looked as rough as I was feeling after that race.

That was the dustiest race Ive been to in years but almost went over the bars at the first creek crossing on lap #3. In all reality a dip in that creek would have felt really good. Same lap I stopped to help some poor guy on an XR400 stuck on one of the dry creek uphill lines. I figured it was a nice gesture after using his front end as traction  Wink to get out of the creek.

Anyway it was a good race for me, did 4 laps, no arm pump, didn't get lapped by  Wirefryer, was able to ride until the checkered flag was out. Just like Merwin I did the post race puke. I'm slowly getting back into shape, the longevity comes first then the speed will hopefully go up as well

I'm counting myself lucky I did not become a temporary resident of Chanute Memorial Hospital.

But on the bright side, I'm starting to trash the right side of my body for a change Roll Eyes!

It's been over a decade since I got wadded up that bad, but I still got clocked in this morning.... be ready to rock by Saturday!

A day of vacation after a Sunday race is just great. Almost all chores put off till today. Unload and wash the old steed by seven thirty, wash the truck, of course must wash wife's CRV and then get to parts house for a new flat trailer plug that I drug from Sioux Falls. Repaired wire and dang, my legs are starting get the "standing up too much riding" sore quads. Usually always worse on Tuesday. .....Sunday race was normal but was so dry my biggest problem was washing out the front tire. But, I had the best hole shot that I can remember. Did the old kick and "button" together and gone. It was a short strait and I didn't get the kick arm back and it just felt wrong and I couldn't turn right quick enough and just blew the corner Angry Just a good ride with my "old" buddies. Didn't fall down but did pick a nice blister on the throttle thumb. That is what happens when not riding for 5 weeks.....Later, I might just have a hard lemonade and a nap Wink

The offroad build begins.  I'll be taking notes.

From Wade -

"I will have a SeX bike picture just for you FB...I am waiting on the tank from KTM and the setup items I always put on. Right now it is sitting patiently in the garage awaiting prep time in the spa room (I bring them inside for the ceremonial prep).

I told some others this...this 250 just may be the best 2 stroke KTM engine they have built yet (and I have owned some doozies)."

This bike will be Tarah Geiger approved.

A 3 year old on a tricycle could lap me.  Not much to spank here.

Dust bowl?  What dust bowl?  I could see all the way to my porch today.

Yeah Fender, you need to buy a new fangled 2011XC, stick all sorts of bling and trinkets on it, like maybe a clutch slave protector........... Tongue
Good incentive for me to come out to that god-forsaken dust bowl and spank your @$$. Grin
